Dj Nvidia [en-vid-dia], (Paul Cruse III) has been Djing since 2004. He started Dj’ing professionally in the Champaign-Urbana, IL campus scene while attending the prestigious University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, in 2007.  When he first started, he only had a macbook and the software program Djay. He was hired by student organizations to Dj their small private parties.

With such amateur equipment, he was booked by student organizations more because of his price than his ability. Nvidia began to build the necessary skills to start Djing professionally. While gaining experience he learned it was more valuable to play what the crowd wanted. By doing this Dj Nvidia never boxed himself into a particular genre of music and started marketing himself a “crowd Dj;” a Dj that could please any crowd regardless of music type.

He now mixes everything from Hip-Hop to House to Techno to Rock, and even Country.

Soon after taking up this motto, he established a large following and was regularly booked at the most popular bars on campus (Fubar, Firhaus and Clybornes). Nvidia then positioned himself as “the best Dj on campus” (or at least thats what people told him).

The upgrade in clients and crowds required an upgrade in equipment. After searching the market for the best Dj equipment, Nvidia came across Dj Tech Tools. This site, managed by the innovative Ean Golden, influenced Nvidia to invest in a VCI-100 and use Native Instruments Tracktor Pro. Looking back Dj Nvidia realizes that this was the best investment he made in his Dj career. Since then Nvidia, has been proud contributor of both Dj Tech Tools website and the digital Dj community.

Dj Nvidia graduated from the U of I in 2009 with a dual degree in political science and informatics. Now attending the renown Depaul Law School, Nvidia hopes to continue his passion for music and Dj’ing the increasingly competitive Chicago club-scene.

Dj Nvidia launched this site in order to keep his fans back in Champaign up-to-date on his shows, release new mixes and advertise himself to new-potential fans.

You can see my world rankings at The Dj List. The site globally ranks all the Djs in the world. I have just been added, so I feel kinda of honored, even though I am ranked low.
