St. Pattys Day in Chicago is crazy!!! For those who haven’t been to Chicago, Chicago has a very large irish community and therefore makes St. Pattys a big deal. Chicago goes as far as to turn the Chicago River, which runs through the heart of downtown, green (see the image to the left). I don’t think there is another city in the country that turns a major river a different color for a holiday. St. Pattys Day being a big drinking holiday, of course means its a big music and dance holiday as well (since those three things go so well together). I, of course, being a Dj had an 8 hour set at a place called Finn McCools, an Irish Pub. I did manage to take a few pictures, through out the craziness. Hit the jump below to see the pics…

I have been meaning to do this FOREVER! After seeing my guys at Dj TechToolsI have been wanting to try it out myself. Now even though I am have a very strong technical background by degree, there is still a lot about computers, electronics, circuitry, that I still don’t understand. So having to cut open my VCI-100 was pretty scary. But needless to say, I completed the job and it looks pretty damn good (if I say so myself). Logos are a big part of marketing… anything. Logos can make a break a product, help you remember a person or even tell keep you out of danger. For instance the picture to the left automatically tells says “music.” If you were using a program and needed to know which button let you listen to music, your first choice would be to pick the button with this symbol on it.

The same goes for Djs. Djs need a logo which expresses themselves, the music they play, and the fans they want to attract. Being a Dj on a budget, I had to create my Logos.
